BrightSpot Families
BrightSpot Families is a therapy and coaching practice based in Bowling Green, Ohio, founded by Dr. Andrea Mata, Ph.D. The practice offers in-person and virtual therapy, family therapy, parent coaching, couples therapy, and psychological testing for individuals and families throughout Northwest Ohio, with sport psychology and mental performance coaching led by Dr. Alex Long, Psy.D.
Dr. Mata had worked with The Rebrand Lab once before, building her personal speaking website about a year prior. That project led to several new speaking engagements, so when it came time to build out a site for her private practice, she came back to The Rebrand Lab.
The private practice site had gone through several DIY iterations over the years, and it showed. Legacy pages for services she no longer offered (youth sports coaching, infant sleep training) were still live, alongside a quiz tied to a cohort that had been paused and podcast episodes from a show that wasn't active anymore. The About section put Dr. Mata, her office manager, and her associate clinician on equal footing, with no clear sense of who was actually running the practice. On top of that, the site leaned heavily on stock photography, leaving the whole experience feeling impersonal and disconnected from the warmth Dr. Mata brings to her work.
The result was a site that didn't clearly communicate what the practice offered, who it served, or why someone should book. This was especially true for Dr. Alex Long, the newer sports psychology specialist who'd recently joined the practice. As a self-pay provider, he needed the site to build his own credibility and attract his ideal clients, but there was almost nothing on the site working in his favor.

Website before and after

What happened after the site launched
Since launching, BrightSpot Families has seen online inquiries double, a direct answer to one of Dr. Mata's biggest pain points going into the project. Before the redesign, no one used the site's contact form. Every single inquiry came in as a phone call. That's already changed: the practice got its first online inquiry the same day the new site went live.
The Meen Team, BrightSpot's new membership community, is off to a strong start too. Even though the community hasn't been live for a month, 5 people have already expressed interest in joining the founding member round, a great sign for a brand-new membership launch.
BrightSpot Families is still in the early days post-launch, so these are just the first results, with more expected to roll in as the site keeps working for them.
